ABOUT US
First Look SEN has been set up as a result of my passion for helping and supporting children with special needs. I am lucky to have 2 amazing boys one of whom has Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder and a whole host of other SEN conditions. So the first thing to say is I am one of you!

I have been the parent in the playground that people look at and have battled the EHCP system to get the support for my son that he needs, but along the way, I have also had some amazing experiences and met some wonderful people and children.

I have supported SEN children and their parents for the last 8 years, I spent 5 years providing school based support and working with a variety of amazing children all with their own complex needs including Autism, ADHS, Sensory, PDA, Global Delays, Learning Difficulties, Dyslexia and Behavioural Issues.

I have done training for parents, TA's, Teachers, School Trusts, and Charities to help people to understand how to identify children with special needs and to support them in a positive way. I have developed support websites to help parents and schools during lockdown. At the beginning of 2019 I qualified through IPSEA training as an SEN advocate and since then I have helped a number of parents to strengthen their child's EHCP and gain places at several special and mainstream schools with the right support, as well as inputting into school EHCP submissions.

I work as a SEN Project / Programme Manager supporting Local Authorities to deliver and drive SEN change in their areas

My aim is to be who I needed when my son was diagnosed and I started this journey, I hope that I can be x.
